Our Story
The story of Trujillo’s Comedor y Cantina began long before our doors opened. By 1955, Silverio and Delia Trujillo were building their lives in the restaurant business at El Chico No. 5 in Dallas, where Silverio worked in the kitchen and Delia was a hostess. After making Waco their home, Silverio managed El Chico No. 14 and later became a district manager. In 1978, Silverio and Delia became the owners of El Nopal, and on December 1, 1981, they opened Trujillo’s on Waco’s Circle. Their original recipes, made-from-scratch food and family hospitality continue today.
Today, their five daughters continue to own and operate Trujillo’s as a family, proudly welcoming new generations of guests to the table.

We do not offer full-service catering. We do offer family packs and larger takeout orders for families, offices, parties, and gatherings.
Crispy taco family packs are $39.99, beef or cheese enchilada family packs are $39.99, and chicken enchilada family packs are $52.95. Each feeds approximately five people and includes rice, beans, tea, hot sauce, chips, and queso.
